Frequently asked questions

  • What is ppf / Paint protection film?

It’s a self-healing invisible shield to protect your vehicle’s paint from rock chips, scratches and all kinds of road contaminants.

The best way to protect and preserve the original paint on any car. While there are other options for protecting paint with different levels of protection, such as ceramic coatings or even plain wax, there is simply nothing that protects as well as modern self-healing paint protection film. This film, otherwise known as PPF or clear bra, is a thin adhesive film that is applied over the panels on your car to cover the paint. Once the film is applied, it’s virtually invisible. It just looks like the original glossy clear coat that came with the car from factory. However, with it applied, your paint now has a shield that protects it from gravel flung at it at freeway speeds and most minor scratches that would otherwise ruin it.

  • What does self-healing PPF mean?

SunTek PPF product features a scientifically formulated top coat. This top coat protects the urethane against surface damage, while the self-healing surface repairs the majority of scratches utilizing the heat of the sun, a warm body panel, engine heat or warm water.

  • can ppf be applied on matte paint?

Absolutely, we offer both matte and gloss film.

  • IS PPF bullet proof?

No, it’s not. But it does take some decent force/impact to be teared apart/removed during a small accident or collision.

  • can ceramic coating be applied on ppf?

Yes, by ceramic coating your vehicle you can help preserve its finish and reduce the amount of time it takes to clean it. This is because the coating rejects impurities that can stick to the surface and also sheds water and chemicals.

This can be applied on top of PPF as well as on the rest of your car.
